Sol Mates Campus Editors are the young activists who we honor here. They embrace their commitments with a passionate purpose. They get others to listen, learn and take action. We are privileged to bring you Campus Editors from colleges and universities around the country who share their wisdom with the Voiceyourself community. They generously give what time they can (between part time jobs, classes and some sleep) to make a difference on their campus and in their communities. You can be part of this initiative. If you have ideas that you want to bring into this mission please contact our team at solmates@voiceyourself.com.
Meet the individuals, read their statements and join the Campus Voice Forum in our Global Community.
No matter what we do it is evident we can become conscious of all material we use and rethink how we choose to look at the world. Sustainability is becoming second nature to our new guardians of the earth like our editor Jenna.

CHANGE A NATION; It's POWERSHIFT Time
Christina went to Powershift 2007, where she was the lone GMC student. She remembers it as....the first ever national youth summit on climate change. There were 101 students from Vermont there, 50 from UVM, 50 from Middlebury and me. Since being back, I have felt empowered to make some real change on campus and get students involved in the administration's great plans to move GMC towards Carbon Neutrality. We now have 70 GMC students signed up to head to D.C. for Powershift 2009, which is going to be even bigger and better.

Great Ideas for Greening Your Campus
AASHE
There are many ways to find out how green your school is. The US EPA has a green power challenge for colleges and Princeton Review has a rating system. There are ways to organize around this issue and create a climate of commitment.
